Part memoir and part poetry, Weak Ink is a collection of essays and poetry that explore themes of childhood trauma, grief, motherhood, addiction, healing, and the seemingly eternal burdens we carry as children of damaged parents. This book is shared from the perspective of a child of two addicts who through healing and forgiveness, learned to love her authentic self.

Based on the memoir of the same name, Weak Ink: A Survivor’s Story (working title) is a screenplay about a type-A suburban wife & mother, who after suffering a mental breakdown at work attends her first therapy session. It is there that she recounts a tumoltuous childhood riddled with abuse, addiction, and poverty culminating in a devastating family tragedy. Can she let go of her survivor’s guilt and learn to make peace with her past?
